Siena Vaccara received her master’s in Mental Health & Psychological Counseling from Columbia University. Siena believes in encouraging personal growth through education, cultural awareness, and building trusting relationships. She utilizes Feminist and Narrative treatment plans, as well as Cognitive Behavioral and Person-Centered techniques in session to incorporate an integrative psychotherapy approach that honors the unique needs of individuals. She understands the importance of the collaborative therapeutic space being non-judgemental, unbiased, open-minded, and strength-driven. Siena treats individuals with concerns ranging from personal transitions to family planning, identity, mood fluctuations, and stressful life events.
Siena’s training includes a specialization in Reproductive & Maternal Well-Being. She is a queer-identifying therapist with expertise in LGBTQIA+ affirming care. Siena is also a DONA International educated Childbirth Doula, certified Child Developmental Monitor, certified Yin Yoga instructor, and lifelong musician. She uses her expansive and holistic wellness background as a means to help people cultivate mind-body awareness and to promote optimal holistic grounding, artistic expression, and emotional regulation.
Siena is professionally versed in interpersonal processing group co-facilitation, gender-affirming care, sexuality exploration, ASD populations, childhood development, and perinatal health. She is also trained in Emergency Response: Acute Trauma, Overdose Prevention, Suicidal Risk (C-SSRS) Screening, and Stanley-Brown safety planning. Her previous clinical experiences include psychoeducational settings where she has served neurodiverse college-aged youth during pivotal adjustment phases.
