There she serves the men, women, and children from throughout Manhattan.
Jamie began her professional pursuits at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She subsequently obtained her Master of Social Work with a clinical degree at The Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University in the Washington Heights neighborhood of New York City.
After graduation, Jamie wanted to enhance her knowledge further, so she completed a life coaching program and two-year Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) curriculum. Jamie is also a graduate of Coach U’s Core Essentials Program, a training regimen designed to enhance her life coaching practice.
Since launching her career, Jamie has served in various capacities. She’s worked as a psychotherapist in a high-volume emergency room and at a Level I trauma center, as an educational coordinator and counselor, and as a site supervisor psychotherapist in an outpatient mental health clinic.
Jamie loves working one-on-one with her patients. When developing treatment plans, she draws upon her extensive knowledge in education, psychology, and clinical therapy. Jamie uses this experience to help patients of all ages struggling with issues such as depression, domestic violence, anxiety, bullying, trauma, and divorce.
As a licensed psychotherapist, Jamie believes in incorporating positivity and enthusiasm into her counseling sessions. She uses a variety of treatment modalities to help patients better understand their thoughts and feelings, including dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), positive psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), object relations, art therapy, and play therapy.
Jamie welcomes any man, woman, or adolescent who wants to build their confidence and the love within themselves to Wellness Road Psychology.
