About Rachel Long, LCSW
I’ve been a therapist for over 25 years, working with families, couples, and individuals. My approach to therapy is client-centered, which means I’m here to help you determine your goals for treatment. Together, we’ll discuss your comfort level in sharing your feelings and stories, and we’ll explore how my suggestions or potential paths forward resonate with you.
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Strength-Based approaches. These methods allow us to focus on practical strategies, mindfulness techniques, and your inherent strengths to help you navigate challenges and achieve your goals.
In our sessions, my goal is for you to leave feeling heard and with a clear option for a technique or a new way of thinking that you can try between sessions. That being said, if you don’t end up trying these ideas right away, that’s completely okay too. I’m here to offer options and to help you feel empowered throughout your journey.
